A ten-week, open-source Bitcoin curriculum that began in El Salvador and grew into a global educational resource.
I was one of four people who worked on the first draft of the Bitcoin Diploma. The curriculum has since been revised and expanded, but much of the original structure and educational DNA remains. Translated into 20+ languages.
The first public-school cohort in El Salvador completed the program in June 2022. The current 2025 version is maintained openly by Mi Primer Bitcoin, with PDF, PowerPoint, workbook, translation, and educator resources available through GitHub.
The 2025 edition is framed as a globally recognized, open-source ten-week program for Bitcoin history, technology, philosophy, and real-world impact.
Mi Primer Bitcoin maintains translation repositories so local educators can adapt materials across languages and communities.
The current Bitcoin Diploma is published under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0, making it free to use, adapt, and share.
