Expanse began as a Socratic online school from 2020 to 2021. I co-founded a pilot where kids across three continents dramatically outperformed their peers. One leapt seven reading levels in a quarter; another wrote a novel; all loved the program. I've since exited the org (it's continued under another name), but my core ambition remains: how do we build real conversation at scale? I'm currently thinking about Socratic discussion as an extracurricular, both human- and AI-led.
